2016 Friday, March 25 – Ishi Remembrance Day, that one century ago today,“Ishi” died in San Francisco from tuberculosis.

2015 December 18 – Richard Burrill presents “Some of Ishi’s Secrets About His Natural World” before The Yahi Group of the Mother Lode Chapter of the Sierra Club’s annual Christmas Potluck. Starts 5:30 p.m. at Valley Oaks Village, 1950 Wild Oak Lane, Chico, California. There will be a $5 for room rental and clean-up. RSVP Suzette Welch by e-mail booksontape@rocketmail.com

Richard Burrill's talk includes viewing several rare b & w photographs of Ishi contrasted with spectacular color photographs of today’s Ishi Wilderness.
